|Description: Alice is a sweet bit of chocolate who appears to have had several litters. She spent 10 long days in a shelter because she was chipped but her owners said they didn't want her as she was "old". She met the volunteer's three dogs plus a visiting dog with happy demeanor. Alice gets excited when she sees a leash and then sits while it is attached, such a good girl. She has a pleasant personality and is well mannered on the leash after pulling a bit initially. Alice likes her walks and is happy to go on car rides. She loves to chase tennis balls and brings them back to drop at your feet to throw again. Since she thinks she's a young girl and would keep up this activity all day you have to put the ball away to remind her she is a senior, albeit an active one.
Squeak toys are a big fav too! She hasn't shown any food or toy aggression. She ignores the cooped chickens, and horses and so far hasn't chased the kitties. She knows "sit" and takes treats gently. She enjoyed a much needed warm bath and is sporting a shiny coat.
