Sadly Sarge's owner passed away. A good Samaritan took him in, but working full time, they didn't have time to spend with him. At 100lbs, he is a little over weight, but will certainly shed the excess weight soon. He's not an overzealous eater, loves to swim, and can run alongside the rest of us just fine. This boy is bombproof so you can take him anywhere. Since he gets very attached to one person, he would likely be a great emotional support service dog. He gets nervous and pants a lot when his special person leaves him behind
Sarge is such a nice boy, all the dogs in his foster home took an immediate liking to him. He has a very nice disposition.
He was only here a day and two 8 week old puppies moved into his foster home. It was clear he had never lived with puppies, but did great! The puppies kept running towards him trying to bite his feet, and all he did was run from the little tykes :-) He spent the first day with 5 large dogs and the two 8 week old puppies. He seemed very comfortable with all the commotion. I think he would be fine as an only dog, but would also be great sharing his home with one or more.
This boy is a charmer. Some lucky family will end up with one great boy in this one!
