Appollo was rescued from a shelter on 9/11 and named as a tribute to the 9/11 search and rescue dog Appollo. Shortly after arriving with Lab Rescuers he was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition called Cor Triatriatum Dexter. Appollo had surgery at UC Davis which was successful and should be fully curative. He also has a malformed lower heart valve which is managed by medication which costs less than $40/month.
Appollo is a happy active puppy who loves to play and loves car rides. He is great with children and other dogs and is ok with cats. He is a sweetheart and loves to snuggle with his foster parents. Appollo is ready for a forever home with a loving family that has time to spend with him and teach him all the fun things in life.
